IRVING, Texas – Not many athletes get a chance to exercise their NCAA eligibility into graduate school. Let alone do they get to go to a different institution in a different time zone, almost eight years after completing their Bachelors’ and spending a tour of duty in the United States of America Marine Corps. For University of Dallas women’s lacrosse player, Esther Gomez, the above mentioned applies to the 30 year old, who joined the team this past season for her first collegiate women’s lacrosse experience.
Women's Lacrosse finishes Season Sunday Versus Augsburg

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Dallas women’s lacrosse team closed the 2016 campaign with a 13-5 setback on Sunday against Augsburg College. Head coach Lauren Martin completes her first year at the helm guiding Dallas to a 4-8 record. Three of those occurred on the road, and another total of three were with the Lady Crusaders netting 13 goals.
Women's Lacrosse pulls away in Second Half at University of Northwestern

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Dallas women’s lacrosse team (4-7) won consecutive games, on the strength of a 6-1 second half on the scoreboard, as the guests toppled University of Northwestern (1-10) on Saturday. The final score was 13-6. It is the third contest this season the Lady Crusaders have matched a season-high in the scoring column. All three games of those games were victories.
Women's Lacrosse defeats Loras College on Sunday

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dallas women’s lacrosse team matched a season-high 13 goals and posted its highest marks in other stats this season to defeat Loras College (2-6) on Sunday. Dallas (3-8) ended a five-game losing streak and split the two games on this road weekend, after a one-goal setback on Saturday.
Women's Lacrosse edged late at Carroll University

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The University of Dallas women’s lacrosse team came up short in a back-and-forth contest on Saturday at Carroll University. The Lady Crusaders (2-7) led 6-5 at halftime, but Carroll (3-5) regained the edge with three straight goals at one point in the second half to win 11-10. Dallas is now 1-1 in games decided by a single goal this season.
Women's Lacrosse falls on Senior Day to Illinois Tech

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s lacrosse team could not halt a strong offensive performance from Illinois Institute of Technology in a 14-5 setback on Sunday. The Lady Crusaders (2-6) would trail 11-1 at halftime. Despite scoring four of the first five goals in the second half, Illinois Tech (3-1) kept its distance to win on UD’s final home game of the campaign.
High-Scoring Match favors Benedictine over Women's Lacrosse on Saturday

HANOVER, Ind. – The University of Dallas women’s lacrosse team (2-3) fell 12-5 at Hanover College (1-2) on Sunday afternoon. After battling to a 4-4 score at intermission, the Panthers would surge on with an 8-1 scoring swing to secure the victory.
Schmitz hits Two of Final Three Goals; Lift Women's Lacrosse in Thriller at Thomas More College

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – Sophomore Sarah Schmitz (Huntington, N.Y.) fired into the back of the cage for a successful game-winner on Saturday at Thomas More College in the 8-7 final. It was her second of the contest and fifth of her career. The first goal of the match for Schmitz was on a power play that sparked a 3-0 run in the final 12:53 minutes.
