Three Different Crusaders Make Collegiate Debut at Lady Bulldog Fall Classic

SEGUIN, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team completed round one of the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic on Monday. In the opening tournament of the fall season, a trio of Crusaders made their collegiate debut including Emma Christensen (West Haven, Utah), Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas), and Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas). Rounding out the Dallas foursome was sophomore Tiffany Han (Walnut, Calif.) who is back for her second year of play. UD sits in 10th place after day one of competition.

Kirby leads Dallas after shooting a 97, followed closely behind by Richardson with a 98. These two Crusaders are tied for 42nd and 46th respectively.

Karen Alvarez (Univ. of Texas at Dallas) leads the whole field with a 73 on the Par-72 course. Summer Swift (Texas Lutheran Univ.) is in second place with a 74. Three other competitors are tied for 3rd (75).

Southwestern University leads the team competition after collectively shooting a 306. University of Texas at Dallas is in second (315), while UC Santa Cruz rounds out the top three with a 322.

Dallas will gear up for round two tomorrow at Starcke Park Municipal Course. Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m.
