@UofDallas Women's Golf participates in Alvernia (PA) Invitational
MOHNTON, Pa. – The University of Dallas women's golf team was bested in a head-to-head 18-hole dual by host-school Alvernia University at LedgeRock Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
Dallas -- which has resurrected its program -- tallied a 336 on the par 72, 5,753-yard course.
Alvernia claimed victory over the Lady Crusaders, as their top-three scores produced a 270.
Freshman student-athlete Markayla Johnson (Vienna, Ill.) carded a 104 for the navy and white, which was good enough for fourth place.
Her fellow classmate Julia Shinkle (Ewing, N.J.) and senior Brigid Callahan (Kansas City, Kan.) debuted with a 114 and 118, respectively.
Cayla McCarty took the first-place hardware, as she fired an 82 for Alvernia.

Dallas will compete on Oct. 18-19 in the Hendix College (Ark.) Dual at Conway Country Club.
