IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's basketball team dropped a 78-53 decision to No. 24 Austin College on Tuesday night. Dallas (3-13, 1-8 SCAC) gave the nationally ranked opponent trouble in the first quarter until a 6-0 run ended the final 1:35. The 'Roos (14-2, 7-2 SCAC) pushed a 29-10 edge in the second quarter to take control and pick up the conference victory.

Down 4-0, Madi Horne (Paradise, Texas) netted a pair of free throws to cut the score in half. After a three by Natalie McCoy put the visitors up 7-2, Horne answered with another layup about midway through the frame. Rhyan Colbert (McKinney, Texas) had an offensive rebound and put the layup back in after hustling to make it a 9-6 gap. Horne finished with six of UD's 10 points that quarter and 14 of the team's 20 in the first half. Her pair of free throws made it a 9-8 contest with 4:26.
