Starnes and Norton Tabbed SCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its 11th annual winter All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 32 student-athletes were selected to the 2018-19 squad in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving and women's swimming and diving.

Representing the University of Dallas were Ben Norton (Louisville, Ky.) from men's basketball and Faith Starnes (Bryan, Texas) from women's basketball.

The SCAC places a special emphasis on sportsmanship each year and is asking all fans of the conference to exhibit good sportsmanship at all conference functions throughout the 2018-19 season. Read the SCAC Presidents' Council statement on Fan Sportsmanship.

Each head coach was asked to elect one member from his or her team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season.

Norton had a career season in his senior year with 16 games played and a pair of starts. In his first season to letter, Norton led the Crusaders with 41 offensive rebounds and totaled 80 for 4th overall.

Starnes was a big contributor to the offense in her first season of collegiate basketball with 222 points (10.1 ppg) to rank second on the team. The guard was the team's best threat from three, making 43 trifectas.
