FIRST TIP

The University of Dallas women's basketball team will host Millsaps College (MS) on Saturday (12/1). First tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The Crusaders (0-5) are coming off a tough three-point loss to Dallas Christian on Wednesday.


BLUE CHRISTMAS FOOD AND TOY DRIVE

The UD Athletics Department is partnering with Irving Police Department and Irving Fire Department this year and is asking fans for support this weekend. The Crusaders will be collecting food items and toys at all the home games this weekend.

On Saturday, December 1, the women's basketball team plays at 5:30 p.m. with the men's team tipping off about 20 minutes after. On Sunday, Dec. 2, the men's team plays at 3 p.m.


THREE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT UD

- Vanessa Diaz (San Antonio, Texas) has now hit double-digits in points in three of the team's games this year. She has recorded a double-double in both home contests.

- Diaz also leads the team grabbing 9.6 rebounds-per-game.

- Tiffani Lowe (San Francisco, Calif.) has dished out 17 assists on the young season to lead UD.

SCOUTING THE MAJORS

- The Majors (5-1) are coming off a 61-47 win over Centenary College. Millsaps will play at Austin College on Friday before taking on Dallas.

- Morgan McCree leads the team scoring 15.8 points-per-game.

- Dia Fortenberry has come down with 42 rebounds to lead the team.

- The Majors have turned the ball over 123 times this year, averaging 20.5 per game.

- Millsaps has rejected 18 shots so far as Anna Wilson and Anna Thigpen both have 7.
