KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – University of Dallas women’s basketball forward Vanessa Diaz (San Antonio, Texas) will have her Crusaders jersey on display in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame “Ring of Honor” in recognition of her outstanding play for the 2018-19 season.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas athletics department celebrated its sixth annual end of the year banquet on Sunday, May 5, at the Hagger University Center. Each coach from the 15 NCAA affiliated programs took a moment to speak on behalf of their program, as well as recognize those that received postseason achievements highlighted by each team’s Most Valuable Player (Listed at bottom).

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas has announced Bri Calver as the next head women’s basketball coach. She is the 16th person to be named at the helm for the program and has accepted her first head coaching appointment after spending the past six seasons as an assistant at two NCAA Division III schools (three seasons apiece).

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its 11th annual winter All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 32 student-athletes were selected to the 2018-19 squad in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving and women's swimming and diving.

SEGUIN, Texas - On Saturday, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the All-Conference Basketball Voting for the 2018-19 regular season. In exclusive all-conference voting by the head coaches of the league, Vanessa Diaz (San Antonio, Texas) was selected All-SCAC Honorable Mention.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team fell to Trinity University 94-60 on Saturday evening. The Crusaders (2-23, 1-15 SCAC) shot 76.9 percent (10-13) from the free throw line, but Trinity (21-4, 14-2) forced 25 turnovers. The Tigers went on to score 30 points off of these turnovers. TU also won the battle in the paint scoring 44 points in that area.

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women?s basketball team fell to Texas Lutheran University 79-36 on Friday night. The Crusaders (2-20, 1-12 SCAC) were within 10 points at the half (34-24) but were outscored 45-12 in the second half. TLU (15-7, 11-2 SCAC) was led by Abby Hroch who finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. The Bulldogs shot 31-72 (43.1 percent) and got 43 points from the bench to grab the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) victory.
