DeCoud Tabbed Women's Basketball SCAC Player of the Week
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) has been selected as the SCAC Player-of-the-Week for games played from February 5th to February 11th.
This is the first conference player of the week accolade for the University of Dallas women's basketball team this season, and second time the senior forward has been selected in her career.
DeCoud recorded a pair of double-doubles to give her 10 on the campaign, as Dallas split its last home weekend set of games. DeCoud notched 23 points in both appearances, and combined for 26 rebounds. She amassed six assists, steals, and four blocks in the two contests.
After the win on Sunday versus Schreiner, DeCoud cracked the top-five in career points by passing Hall of Famer Ashley Smith (1,296). She was one behind entering play, and now has 1,318. DeCoud also improved to 2nd all-time in rebounds with 836. She moved above Cara Sczepanski (828).
Dallas concludes the regular season on Feb. 17th at Colorado College.
