DeCoud tabbed USCAA Women's DI Basketball Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Michelle DeCoud of the University of Dallas has been named United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Women's Division I Basketball Player of the Week. DeCoud averaged 18.3 points in a trio of road contests for the Crusaders. In that span, DeCoud averaged a double-double in two consecutive contests against Illinois Tech and Concordia Chicago over the holiday break. At Illinois Tech, the senior from Monument, Colorado, scored a season-best 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the Crusaders victory.

This is the second time DeCoud has been recognized the weekly accolade, with the other happening January, 17th, 2017. The team's leading scorer all four contests this young season is averaging 18.5 points (3rd in USCAA) overall and 9.3 boards.

On Saturday at IIT, DeCoud became just the second player in the program to achieve 100 career blocks. She has 101 currently.

Dallas (2-2) returns to the Maher Center on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. tip versus University of the Ozarks.
