IRVING, Texas – Greta Grothe, the Head Coach for the University of Dallas women’s basketball team, announced her resignation on Monday. Grothe has accepted a position as the head coach at Southwestern University.

IRVING, Texas – On Sunday the University of Dallas Athletic Department celebrated the fourth annual athletic banquet held at Haggar University Center on campus. Each coach for the 15 NCAA affiliated programs were asked to summarize the year for their teams. The team-voted Most Valuable Players (MVPS) were announced and handed out. Coaches also noted other conference achievements, program records, and student-athlete milestones.

Kaiser and Worry among Listed on SCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Teams

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its ninth annual winter All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 30 student-athletes were selected to the 2016-17 squad in the sports of men's basketball, women's basketball, men's swimming and diving and women's swimming and diving.

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – On Tuesday, the United States Collegiate Athletic Conference (USCAA) released the men’s and women’s Division I and II Basketball All-Americans and End of the Year Awards. The University of Dallas women’s basketball team had two players voted among those on the Women’s Division I Teams with Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) and Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) receiving nods.

GEORGETOWN, Texas – On Saturday, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the All-SCAC Women’s Basketball Teams. The University of Dallas had a pair of recipients. Headlining the duo was Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) on the Second Team. Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) was named on the Honorable Mention listing.

SEGUIN, Texas - The University of Dallas women?s basketball team was defeated 68-49 on Saturday at Texas Lutheran University. Early deficits in the first pair of quarters proved to be too much for Dallas (10-14, 2-11 SCAC) to overcome in its final regular season road game. The 2nd place Bulldogs (19-5, 11-2 SCAC) outscored their opposition by 12 (23-11) in the opening quarter and 11 (22-11) in the next 10 minutes prior to halftime. Dallas trailed 45-22 at the break.
Stoia Reaches 1,000; Huge 3rd Quarter downs Crusaders at Southwestern

GEORGETOWN, Texas – A rough third quarter was too much for the University of Dallas women’s basketball team to overcome at Southwestern University on Friday night. The Crusaders (10-13, 2-10 SCAC) took their first lead of the game on a three-pointer by Caitlyn Worry (Lumberton, Texas) at the halftime buzzer. The offense came to life for Southwestern (9-14, 6-6 SCAC) in the 3rd quarter, outscoring its opponent 32-9 to gain command of an eventual 68-50 final.
