The Crusaders produced two-of-four hits in their game during the bottom of the first inning. Madison Coutts (Tampa, Fla.) worked a one-out walk. Annabel Anderson (Midlothian, Texas) singled and Mackenzie Tano (Wylie, Texas) loaded the bases with a two-out walk after a fielder's choice. Liz Cordova (Oklahoma City, Okla.) singled to right field and scored in UD's lone run.

Cordova recorded a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate, and Julie Duenas (Houston, Texas) ripped the other Crusader hit for a double in the third frame.

Things unraveled for Dallas in the fourth, as a pair of errors led to four unearned runs for the Panthers to go up for the remainder of the way. A six-run fifth, this time powered by six hits, would seal the first victory of the season for LaGrange.

11 of the Panthers' 12 hits were singles, as Brittany Todd smacked a double. She joined Kaitlin Redman and McKenzie Brunel with multiple hit games with two apiece. All nine starters recorded a base hit. A trio of players drove in two runs each, as Riley Densmore, Lauren DeLoach, and McKenzie Brnnel formed the unit.

Emily Martin (San Jose, Calif.) threw three shutout innings before things got away in the last two innings. Martin threw all five innings and allowed six earned runs on 12 hits. She walked one.

Abbey Gardner got the win in the circle for LaGrange. In five innings, she allowed a run on four hits. She worked around two walks and fanned four.
