Rasmussen Adds USCAA Pitcher of the Week after Strong Tournament

Paige Rasmussen (El Campo, Texas) of University of Dallas is the USCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week. Rasmussen took the mound three times in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament this past weekend. Making her first start in over a month Rasmussen pitched a complete seven-inning game over the fourth-seeded Schreiner University. Her outing helped the Crusaders from Dallas earn the upset and snap a six game losing streak in the tournament dating back to 2016. She was named to the all-tournament team for her performances.

Over the tournament, Rasmussen combined for 16 innings and allowed four runs over the three starts. She struck out four in the upset and six overall. At the plate, Rasmussen helped her cause with a 20-pitch at bat that resulted in an RBI-walk during a four-run sixth inning that helped Dallas put the tournament win away.
