IRVING, Texas – Five members of the University of Dallas softball team have been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athletes. Forming the quintet were: Allison Kotlar (Edna, Texas), Avery Finch (Jamul, Calif.), Katie Lee (Houston, Texas), Tera Espinosa (Caldwell, Texas), and Katelyn Lazarek (Seattle, Wash.). Athletes who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale are recognized as NFCA Scholar Athletes.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its 2017 Spring Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today and 456 student-athletes made the list. Since its inception in 1997 just under 25,000 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Jade Miller (Plano, Texas) from the University of Dallas clinched a pair of postseason honors to add her impressive count in her first collegiate year with the Crusaders. The freshman outfielder was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) West All-Region Second Team on Monday.

NORFOLK, Va. – For the third consecutive season, Allison Kotlar (Edna, Texas) earned a spot on the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Softball National All-Academic Team. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

IRVING, Texas – On Sunday the University of Dallas Athletic Department celebrated the fourth annual athletic banquet held at Haggar University Center on campus. Each coach for the 15 NCAA affiliated programs were asked to summarize the year for their teams. The team-voted Most Valuable Players (MVPS) were announced and handed out. Coaches also noted other conference achievements, program records, and student-athlete milestones.

SEGUIN, Texas – The fourth-seeded University of Dallas softball team dropped its second game of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament on Saturday to sixth-seeded Trinity University.

Cervantes went 3-for-4 and scored three runs. She knocked the go-head runs at the time in the 5th for the Crusaders.

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team dropped the first game of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) to fourth-seeded Schreiner University, 10-7, on the campus of Texas Lutheran University Friday.

SEGUIN, Texas – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the 2017 All-Conference Softball Team on Friday evening prior to the final game of the tournament’s opening round. The University of Dallas placed a trio of players on the teams and one of them secured the team’s first SCAC Player of the Year.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Avery Finch (Jamul, Calif.) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Softball Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, April 17th through Sunday, April 23rd. This is the first time the senior outfielder garnered the weekly award in her career and claimed the final one given out this spring.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team swept a doubleheader Sunday and earned a series victory over Austin College. The Crusaders started conference play at Trinity with a 3-1 series win, and cap the regular season over a league opponent with the other 3-1 series result of the spring.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team split on Saturday with Austin College. Dallas clinched a spot to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament for the fifth straight year by winning a six-inning, run-rule in the opener.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team earned two huge victories on Good Friday to split the overall series with Centenary College. The Crusaders notched a season-high 11 runs in both contests with a combined 22 hits. They swept their second conference doubleheader the season. The first was SCAC opening-weekend at Trinity University.
