Crusaders Take 6th as Team at USCAA Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The University of Dallas men's cross country team competed in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Championship on Friday. Dallas came in sixth place overall out of 16 teams with 181 points in the 8K.

Joseph Kilmer (Rockville, Md.) extended his stretch of having the top UD finishing time to 13 competitions. He placed 15th and scored a 28:03.13 result. John James (Metairie, La.) remained the consistent second fastest time on the squad with a 28:22.28 for 18th. Elijah Depew (Grove City, Pa.)  completed the top trio with a season-best 30:09.82 time.

Andrew Maal (Pueblo West, Colo.), Michael Bujard (Uvalde, Texas)), Gabe Volpe (Harrah, Okla.), and Ty Moran (Sallisaw, Okla.) crossed the finish line in that respective order for Dallas. Bujard improved his personal record (PR) in his second meet of the late season with a 31:17.63. Volpe also ran a PR with a 31:46.68.

SUNY Delhi won the title with 19 points. SUNY ESF followed with 69 points. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College rounded out the top three with 116 points.

Kobie Lane (25:46.24), Abshir Yerow (26:11.63), and Nicholas Arnecke (26:35.68) were the top-three running finishes.

Individual Standings
