Kilmer, Men's Cross Country Claim 2nd in Muddy TLU Bulldog Invitational

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's cross country team finished second at the TLU Bulldog Invitational on Saturday. Host Texas Lutheran University won with 37 points, while the Crusaders and Concordia University each posted 49. Schreiner University rounded out the group with 94.

Stormy weather all week left the course in a difficult state to perform on, as competitors took on muddy surfaces. Joseph Kilmer (Rockville, Md.) finished 2nd overall and led UD with a 17:47.56 time.

John James (Metairie, La.) was another top-five placer with an 18:26.74 mark for 5th. Elijah Depew (Grove City, Pa.) was the third fastest time for the Crusaders and earned 9th in the standings with an 18:43.42 time.

Andrew Maal (Pueblo West, Colo.) and Ty Moran (Sallisaw, Okla.) contributed respective times of 19:41.65 and 20:36.17.

TLU's Caleb Calderon won the individual race with a 17:11.19.
