Pair of Runners from Track and Field Notch USCAA Weekly Honors

Two Crusaders with one from the University of Dallas men's track and field team and one from women's track and field earned United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Player of the Week Selections for their performances from the week of April 2.

Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) is the USCAA Men's Track and Field Player of the Week. The senior set two new personal records at the Dan Veach Invitational in the 400 Meter Hurdles and 110 Meter Hurdles. In the 400 Meters he broke the school record for the third consecutive meet and shaved .63 seconds of his personal best time. A time of 17:24 in the 110 Meter Hurdles was enough for a fourth place finish for the senior from Front Royal, Virginia.

Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) is the USCAA Women's Track and Field Player of the Week. Wilgenbusch, a freshman from Minnesota, placed second overall in the 1500 Meters with a time of 5:17.06 at the Dan Veach Invitational. She broke her personal record in the 5000 Meter event with a time of 19:27.36.

The duo look to continue leading their respective teams at the next competition, which will be the East Texas Invitational on April 13-14.
