Men's Track & Field race at Trinity Open; Giadolor takes 4th in 100m

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas men's track and field team began the 2018 season at the Trinity Open on Saturday. Prince Giadolor (Rockwall, Texas) got off to a quick start with a fourth place finish out of 30 runners in the 100 Meter-Dash (11.17). Joseph Kilmer (Rockville, Md.) and Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) earned eighth in their respective events on the 800 Meters (2:06.48) and 400 Meters Hurdles (1:02.46).

Kilmer nearly cracked the top-10 in the 1500m with a 4:20.83 time. He was third in his section and slotted 11th overall. John James (Metairie, La.) and Joseph Boyle (St. Paul, Minn.) hit a 4:44.41 and 4:44.74 crossed the line together in that same event.

Marcos Carmona (San Antonio, Texas) started the campaign in his hometown with a 32.96m throw in the javelin for 10th. He earned 11th in the discus with a 31.87m mark.

Giadolor also sprinted in the 200m for a 23.50 time for 15th.

Patrick Andrews (Irving, Texas), Daniel Layton (La Cañada Flintridge, Calif.), Peter Dinh (Grand Prairie, Texas), Cecilio Huitron (El Paso, Texas), Shivam Mishra (Jamshedpur, India), Charles Obegolu, and Boyle (Dallas, Texas) each debuted in their first college track and field meet.
