MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Dallas men's golf team completed two rounds at the Rhodes College Spring Classic at Windyke West Country Club on Monday. Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) shot a career-best 68 in the first round, along with a 71 in Round Two to sit in a tie for third place with a 139 - good for an individual low two rounds record. Dallas broke the team low two round record with a 573 to place itself in a tie for third place with one round to play on Tuesday.

Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) carded a 141 (72, 69) to put himself in a tie for sixth place. The sophomore's second round score was his lowest in the spring season and second time to be in the 60's during 2018-19. His season-low was 67 in the third round at the John Bohmann Invitational. Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.) is tied for 21st after shooting +1 on the day. His 70 in the second round notched a career-best for the junior. Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas) helped out the team with a 148 (77, 71) to place himself in a tie for 32nd. Trey Schneider (Mooresville, N.C.) also competed for UD at the tournament, scoring personal-low rounds 81 and 80, respectively.

Berry College leads the team leaderboard after shooting a 569. LeTourneau University is in second with a 572, while Maryville College (TN) is tied with Dallas for third place.

Dallas was one shot shy of tying the low round school record (Round Two: 281). Evans had the previous low two round record (140) at the Alamo City Classic in October, 2017 that Montalvo nipped by a stroke in his career-best 36 holes.
