Schuberg Finishes 2nd at Alamo City Classic; Crusaders 3rd

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) shot a personal-best 73 in Tuesday's 18-hole round of the Alamo City Classic. Schuberg claimed 2nd place for his highest finish in just his second tournament competing this fall season, and led the University of Dallas men's golf team to 3rd place with a 310. The senior also matched a tournament-best four birdies.

Dallas was just two strokes off from No. 52 Concordia University. Houston-Victoria won with a 306. The Crusaders edged all three opposing Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponents in attendance, including host Trinity University by a stroke.

Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) carded a 77 and tied for 10th overall. Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) and Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas) each contributed an 80.

Luke Smith won the individual tournament from Hardin-Simmons University with a 72. Several players tied for third with a 75 on the scorecard.

Individual Standings

It was another wet day on the course after weather cancelled the first day of competition.
