Men's Golf tops Hendrix in 2nd Dual of Weekend

DALLAS – The University of Dallas men's golf team defeated Hendrix College by shooting a lower score of 301 to 311 on Sunday. Dallas shaved 12 strokes off its first head-to-head dual at Luna Vista yesterday and claimed its second team victory in a row. The Crusaders have won the past five matchups.

Seth McNeill (Plano, Texas) competed in the top 5 for UD in his second competition of the season, and shot a 73 to finish as the lowest score for his team.

A trio of players for UD shot 76 and tied for third. Robby Evans (Flower Mount, Texas), Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.), and Will Doctor (Houston, Texas) formed the group and all contributed to the final team mark. Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) contributed a 78 as the best out of the individual group.

Overall, Hendrix's Ben Brezette won the individual competition with a 70. He and UD's Evans tied for most birdies (4).

Dallas concludes the fall portion of its year with the Alamo City Classic October 16th-17th. Fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponent Trinity University will be hosting the event at the Quarry Golf Club.
