Men's Basketball Wambsganss Lands NCAA Internship

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - University of Dallas men's basketball guard Michael Wambsganss (Denver, Colo.) earned an internship with the NCAA this summer, which he will spending the majority of the internship at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis.

Wambsganss will be helping coordinate and organize the first NCAA Youth Development Camp. The camps will take place July 23-28 at four locations: University of Houston, University of Illinois, University of Connecticut, and Grand Canyon University. The 12 interns will be split up and sent to the four locations for the camps. While there, the interns will help set up and run the camps. 

Wambsganss spent his previous summer with News Release Basketball (NRB). Through that organization, he served running camps and playing against professional and club teams in Europe while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. This service helped Wambsganss be named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Character & Community Male Student-Athlete of the Week.

Wambsganss continues to lead the Crusaders on and off the court. He was the team leader in points (400) and rebounds (157) and was the only player to average double figures (14.3) on the season. In UD's first SCAC Championship appearance, Wambsganss made the first 10 field goals and posted a career-high 35 points and 13 rebounds.
