Bio

Jessica Scroggins completed her second season with the University of Dallas softball team as a Graduated Assistant Coach. She is the third person hired for this role and is pursuing her degree in the Leadership Program.

Scroggins assisted first year head coach Christian Novak in 2021. She helped the Crusaders go 5-11 in 2020 before COVID-19 cancelled play, which the team was headed by Caitlynn Dykes.

Scroggins was drafted 15th overall in the third round of the 2018 NPF by the Chicago Bandits and signed a two-year deal. Scoggins earned 2018 NPF's Rookie of the Year and was an All-NPF Team selection that year. Scroggins shattered the single-season record for batting average by a rookie with a .412-clip.

Scroggins played collegiately at Baylor University. She earned 2017 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and was an All-Big 12 First Team selection after ranking in the conference's top 10 in hits and batting average.
