DOWN MEMORY LANE: Wilgenbusch Starts 2019 on a Roll

IRVING, Texas - Anna Wilgenbusch opened the 2019 cross country season with a victory in the CROOsader Dual meet in Sherman against Austin College with a victory over the 2 mile course in a UD record setting time of 12:17.7. The victory on August 31 was the first of nine in a row for Wilgenbusch in a record setting year. The previous record of 12:46 was set by Elena Yates at the Xavier University Invitational on 14 September 2002. The victory was the first by a UD female cross country runner since 19 October 2013 when Clare Myers won the University of Dallas Invitational.
