UD Women's Cross Country Wins ETBU Tiger Invitational; Wilgenbusch Claims Another Top Medal and School Record

MARSHALL, Texas - Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) headlined the University of Dallas women's cross country team's second first place finish in the last week with her fifth straight individual first place mark in as many meets and broke a school record in the 6k. On Friday, the Crusaders totaled 37 points for the lowest score that was ahead of LeTourneau University (70) and Cottey College (71).

Wilgenbusch shattered the previous 6k record with a 22:41.80 time. Alexis Segura, from LeTourneau, took second with a 23:37.80 time, and Wilgenbush's teammate Emma Kate Callahan (Overland Park, Kan.) rounded out the top three with a Personal-Best time 25:23.70 time. 

UD's Angela Moore held the previous record of 23:38 at the United States Collegiete Athletic Association (USCAA) Championship on November 11, 2016.

Four other Crusaders placed themselves within the Top-20. Elizabeth Regnerus (Round Rock, Texas) closed out the top ten running 27:11.2. Mary Korth (McKinney, Texas), Angelina Huffman (Scranton, Pa.), and Isabella Childs (Saint Mary's Kan.) finished 13th, 16th, and 19th, respectively.
