IRVING, Texas – On Wednesday University of Dallas Athletics Director Dick Strockbine announced Isabella Childs as the UD Scholar-Athlete of the Year selection. This award is the only department wide award offered in athletics and goes to the varsity letterwinner with the highest grad point average.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2019 fall term. The conference named 458 student-athletes among 10 affiliated institutions. The University of Dallas placed 39 student-athletes across five fall sponsored sports including: men’s cross country, women’s cross country, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and volleyball.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its 12th annual fall All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 47 student-athletes were selected to the 2019 squad in the sports of men’s cross country, women’s cross country, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) of the University of Dallas women’s cross-country team finished 38th with a time of 22:10.9 at the NCAA Division III National Championships, marking the first UD athlete in school history to compete at the NCAA Championships. Wilgenbusch started in sixth place after one kilometer of the race. She eventually would lose pace down the stretch but had solid split times to finish the race strong with great competition at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) of the University of Dallas women’s cross country team is set to run at the NCAA Division III National Championships on Saturday. The women’s race will begin at 11:45 a.m. from E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. Wilgenbusch continues to shine on the course gathering award after award in her stellar sophomore campaign. She broke her own 6k school record last weekend at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship in Memphis, Tennessee last weekend, claiming a first-place finish with a time of 21:29.3.
