8 Crusaders Qualify for 2017 Fall Sports USCAA All-Academic Teams

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) released the 2017 Fall Sport National All-Academic Winners on Thursday evening. The University of Dallas placed eight student-athletes from men’s soccer, women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s cross country, and women’s cross country among these lists.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team wrapped up the 2017 season with the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Championships on Friday. The Crusaders scored 141 points and finished fifth place out of 12 participating teams. This improved UD’s spot in the team standings from 2016’s 7th place result. There were 125 total runners on the 6k course that was described as “super windy and muddy” by Dallas Head Coach Matthew Barber.

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team competed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships on Saturday. As a team, the Crusaders scored 142 points and finished in sixth place. UD was four points behind Southwestern University in the next highest spot. Austin College took fourth with 116.

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas cross country teams compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships (SCAC) on Saturday. Location of the meet will be on the campus of Texas Lutheran University. The Tournament Central is available on the SCAC’s website and will have more information about the races and how to follow.

Crusaders take 3rd in final 5k of the season. Prepare for conference championship in 2 weeks.
3rd Place for Women's Cross Country in Home Invitational; Hernandez leads team with 6th

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s cross country team finished third in the University of Dallas Invitational on a hot Saturday morning. The Crusaders totaled 67 points and finished ahead of St. Edwards University (75) and Sul Ross State University (120). McMurry University won the meet with 38 points and Austin College claimed runner up with 54.

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – After getting a break last weekend, the University of Dallas women’s cross country team returned to the trails and ran a 5k at the University of the Ozarks Invitational. A combined effort by the top seven UD runners to have 28 points or lower among those places helped the team notched third overall with 88 points. The Crusaders were the fastest NCAA Division III School as Arkansas Tech (DII) and University of Arkansas-Fort Smith (DII) scored better with 21 and 62, respectively.
