Women's Cross Country Gerald Richey Invite Results

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – The University of Dallas Women's cross country team competed in the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) Gerald Richey Cross Country Invite on Saturday. The competition featured Division I opponents: Baylor University and host school UTA. Dallas Baptist University, Texas Wesleyan University, and Paul Quinn College also participated. 

Freshman Bridget Kennedy (San Antonio, Texas) made her collegiate debut and boasted a 20:08 minute result to pace all Lady Crusaders on the course. She broke in the top ten finishes with eighth place. Senior Ruth Fritz (Boise, Idaho) also raced for the first time this fall, posting a time of 22:59.

Behind Kennedy for the UD individual rankings was fellow teammate Caroline Schemel (Greencastle, Pa.) hitting a season personal record (PR) 21:38. Senior Emma Polefko (Cypress, Texas) and junior Joey Danaher (Boulder, Colo.) wrapped up a trio of players hitting PR's through the weekend.

Freshman Clare Basil (Arnold, Md.) made her first appearance this fall and raced to a 22:03 time, to crack the top three standings among runners for the Navy and White.
