@UofDallas Women's Cross Country secures Fifth Place at East Texas Invite
NEW SUMMERFIELD, Texas – The University of Dallas Women's cross country team placed fifth in the East Texas Invite last weekend.
Senior Clare Myers (Grosse Pointe, Minn.) upped her fastest time to a season-best 19:25.9. The senior racer led the Lady Crusaders with a ninth place finish, her second top-ten of the campaign. Myers previously posted 19:37 minute races in the first two competitions this year.
Not too far behind were a trio of Dallas runners: senior Colleen Slattery (Middle Ridge, Wis.), junior Ruth Fritz (Boise, Idaho), and senior Meghan Falconer (Kohler, Wis.).
Slattery ranked 18th and was second on the squad with a total time of 20:42.1.
Nearly a second apart differentiated where Fritz and Falconer finished, with the duo completing the competition with 20:56.6 and 20:57.8 scores, respectively.
Also displaying solid times for the navy and white were senior Danielle Pajak (Pagosa Springs, Colo.), junior Emma Polefko (Cypress, Texas), and senior Michelle DeRoche (Lemont, Ill.).
University of Texas-Tyler won the entire competition with University of Texas at Brownsville, and Wiley College rounding out the top three program finishes.

Dallas competes in the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warrior Invite on Oct. 4. Location is set to be in West Allis, Wisconsin.
