HIGH SCHOOL:2005 Cross Country Team MVP, 2006 Team Captain, Illinois High School Sports Association All-Academic Team.

PERSONAL: The daughter of Kathryn and Stephen Smart, she was born July 29, 1989 and has five siblings. Theresa is a Politics and Spanish double major and spends her free time playing the piano, riding horses, swimming, and playing with her siblings and dogs. Her favorite movie is Life is Beautiful, her favorite athlete is former UD cross country coach Jody Hawkins, and St. Therese of Lisieux is her role model.
