UD Dominates Crosstown Rivals Dallas Christian

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas volleyball team won their non-conference matchup against Dallas Christian College on Wednesday, improving to 11-7 on the year.  They defeated DCC in straight sets, winning 25-13, 25-16, and 25-9.

UD domianted the match from start to finish, racking up 44 kills, their second most in a three-set match this season, while hitting .366 as a team, their best hitting percentage in a match since 2018.  

Cassie Dyoub lead the charge, tallying 13 kills on three errors for a .357 hitting percentage.  Lauren Crismore was dangerously efficient, racking up nine kills on just 13 swings with only one error for a .615 hittiner percentage.  Sydney Love wasn't far off with eight kills on 13 swings while hitting .462.  Alexa Swaller also hit .462, recording seven kills with one error on 13 swings.

Swaller and Devin Henry lead all players with 12 digs, and Ava Alvarado added 36 assists to her name, eclipsing the 700 marks for her career.

Up Next

The Crusaders resume conference play this weekend.  They will head to Seguin, Texas to face off against Southwestern University and Texas Lutheran on Friday, and St. Thomas on Saturday.  Their first match against Southwestern is scheduled for 1:15 pm.
