2019 UD Volleyball Opens Preseason; 9 Home Dates at Maher Center

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team opened fall preseason last Saturday and are the midst of gearing up for the season-opening tournament at the 2019 Pacific Coast Classic. Dallas will host a tri-match scrimmage with Jarvis Christian College and Howard Payne University on Wednesday, August 21, at the Maher Center. The Crusaders will play Jarvis Christian first around 3:30 p.m. Jarvis Christian and Howard Payne will face each other in a neutral site game about an hour and a half later, and then UD wraps up the evening against the Yellow Jackets. Warm-ups for the first scrimmage will begin at 3 p.m. and 30 minutes will be given between the matches.

The Crusaders have 35 games on the 2019 schedule, with nine regular season matches at the friendly confines. 18 games will be against Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponents with two matchups on the slate.

A change of note since the first release of the schedule was an opponent change in the Millsaps/Belhaven Invite. Dallas will now play Central Baptist College in the final four-match weekend instead of LaGrange College. Times are also now finalized on the schedule.
