Koster named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named Jessie Koster, a senior libero from the University of Dallas, as SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 18th through Sunday, September 25th. It is the first time in Koster's collegiate career to earn the accolade and first member of the program to receive a weekly honor since Jaime Birzer in 2013.

Koster delivered a strong week for the Crusaders, as she continued to increase her lead in the conference with 22 digs to bring her total to 446 for the season. She also leads NCAA Division III and United States Collegiate Athletic Association with that mark as well. Koster ranks first nationally and in the SCAC for digs-per-set with a 7.19-clip.

Koster averaged 7.18 digs, including a 7.83-clip in the weekend SCAC cross-divisional tournament. She had a weekend-high 34 digs in the team's second straight-set sweep of the day Saturday against Texas Lutheran University.

Finally, Koster etched her name in the school record books by breaking the career total digs mark on Sunday. She now boasts 2,472, with the previous record being 2,438.

Dallas plays a pair of out-of-conference opponents this Thursday at LeTourneau University in a Triangular.
