Volleyball to begin USCAA National Championship tournament play Thursday

The University of Dallas women's volleyball team (21-9) will begin post-season play in Louisville, Ky. at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship tournament on Thursday, Nov. 4.

Dallas is in Pool 1 as the No. 2 seed, with the likes of (1) Florida College, (3) Cincinnati-Clermont, (4) Marygrove, and (5) Penn State Mont Alto.

Host team Spalding University headways the other side of the bracket in Pool 2, with (2) Rochester College, (3) Ohio State-Marion, (4) Lindenwood-Belleville, and (5) Penn State-Fayette.

The Crusaders are slated to battle Florida College at 1:00 p.m. EST to open the tournament, and will play Marygrove the same afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Both matches will take place on court 1.

Following Thursday's matches, the teams will be treated by the USCAA to a banquet at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, Dallas will play Penn State-Mont Alto at 10:00 a.m. (court 2), and Cincinnati-Clermont at 11:30 a.m. (court 1).

The top four teams from each pool will advance to play an additional match either at 4:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., Friday.

The tournament will conclude on Saturday with the semi-finals matches at 10:00 a.m., the consolation match at 12:00 p.m., and the championship match at 2:00 p.m.
