Women's Track and Field Has Excellent Showing at Dan Veach Invitational

MAGNOLIA, Ark. - The University of Dallas women's track and field team competed at the Dan Veach Invitational hosted by Southern Arkansas University on Saturday.  The Crusaders had four athletes compete across six events.

Tessa Hastings ran in the 100 and 200 meter races, posting new PR's in both events.  She ran the 100 meters in 14.84, and the 200 meters in 30.16.

Miranda Roach ran in both the 800 and 1500 meter races.  She also posted PR's in both events, running the 800m in 3:04.15 and the 1500m in 6:22.72.

Jessie Ramirez was the lone thrower, competing in the shot put and the discus.  Ramirez kept the trend going and also posted new PR's in both events, with marks of 7.21m in the shot put and 19.11m in the discus.

Up Next

The Crusaders will have a couple of weeks to prep for the penultimate meet of their regular season.  They will compete in the North Texas Classic at the University of North Texas on Saturday, April 8.
