Crusaders Wrap up TSU Relays

HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Dallas women's track and field team finished up competition in the 70th annual TSU Relays on Saturday.

Keila Juarez and Caitlin Smith were the lone competitors for the Crusaders on day two, Anna Wilgenbusch having already run the 5,000 meters yesterday.

Juarez ran the 1,500 meters,  finishing with a time of 6:35.44.  Smith missed out on her PR in the 200 meters by half a second, posting a time of 26.70.  She is still among the top performers in the SCAC, her performance at the Mississippi College Opener placing her in the top five in the conference.

"This was a great spring break meet.  Not only was it a great experience to compete on a high level against some great sprint heavy teams, but we were able to enjoy a little of Houston's beauty during our down time," said head coach Nick Schneigert.  "Hats off to Caitlin today.  Despite missing her PR, she will get faster.  She will work on the little things that will help her climb the ladder in our conference."
