Crusaders Complete Day 1 of TSU Relays

HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Dallas women's track and field team competed in day one of the TSU Relays on Friday.  

Anna Wilgenbusch came away with her third straight event win, taking first place in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:32.21.  Keila Juarez ran the event as well, competing in her first 5,000 meters of the season and finished with a time of 26:18.91.

Caitlin Smith ran the 100 meters and recorded a PR of 13.03 against a packed field of Division I, NAIA, and NJCAA Division I programs.

"Today was a good day for us, and we're looking forward tomorrow," said head coach Nick Schneigert. "We're the only Division III program out here, but that's alright with us.  The ladies did fantastic today, and I'm really proud of Keila for doing so well in her first event of the year.  We're excited for the challenge that awaits us tomorrow."
