UD Women's Track & Field Claims USTFCCCA Academic Award

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2020 NCAA Division III Track & Field Team and Athlete Academic awards on Thursday, July 16.

The University of Dallas women's track and field was one of four schools from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) to receive academic honors. A total of 359 teams were honored for their academics, including 209 women's programs and 150 men's squads. In order to be recognized, a program must have at least a 3.1 cumulative team GPA.

The Crusaders posted a cumulative GPA of 3.24.

UD's women's track and field teams have been tabbed with the academic award also in 2018 and 2017. Head Coach Nick Schneigert in his first year at Dallas oversaw the women's cross country and women's track and field teams earn academic awards from the coach's association. Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) claimed an All-Academic Individual award for cross country, which was part of several feats for the NCAA Division III All-American.
