Hassink named SCAC Field Athlete of the Week
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - DIANA HASSINK OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, April 8th.
It is the second time this spring that Hassink has been named this weekly honor.
Hassink competed last week at the Carla Coffee Invitational hosted by Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she finished first in shot put with a throw of 11.48 meter. It was her highest placement in any of the throwing events in her career.
Hassink also took third in discus with a personal best toss of 29.65 meters and fourth in hammer with a season-best mark (36.21m).
Dallas competes in its final regular season meet before the SCAC Championships this Saturday, April 14th at the East Texas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce.
