Women's Track and Field earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. –  Scholar Teams of the Year and All-Academic Team honors for the 2016-17 NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field seasons were announced Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The University of Dallas women's track and field team was one of four programs in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) to qualify. The Crusaders produced a 3.27 GPA as a unit. This marks the second year in a row Dallas earned recognition for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors.

Colorado College was the highest SCAC GPA with a 3.522 mark. Trinity University and Texas Lutheran University completed the quartet with 3.375 and 3.141, respective GPAs.

A total of 294 teams were honored for their academics by the USTFCCCA. 183 programs were women's. The highest GPA of any team belonged to the women from Saint Vincent College with a 3.727 display.
