Women's Track and Field Results at War Hawk Classic

ABILENE, Texas – The University of Dallas women's track and field team return to action after a couple weeks off and performed at the War Hawk Classic hosted by McMurry University. This competition featured several American Southwest Conference (ASC) school's including the host. There were also all-but one Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) school as Texas Lutheran University, Trinity University, Southwestern University, and Austin College all were present.

It was a windy day with gusts ranging 20-25 mph.

The Crusaders tallied 21 points to earn eighth out of 10 programs in the team standings. McMurry prevailed in its home meet with 200 points. Texas Lutheran (165) and Trinity (119) followed respectively to complete the top three.

NOTABLE RESULTS

- Katie McIntyre (Sparta, N.J.) notched a sixth place finish in the 400 Meter Dash with a 1:04.30 time. She also ran in the 200m and clocked a time of 27.86 seconds for 12th

- Clare Basil (Arnold, Md.) continued her strong season in the 800m with a 2:33.33 mark. She garnered three points with one-of-two 6th place finishes. The sophomore also scored three points in the 1500m by running a 5:22.88.

- Basil's score in the 800m ranks 4th in SCAC.

- Rose Forget (St. Louis, Mo.) claimed personal records (PRs) in the 100m (14.75) and 200m (30.09).

- Shelby Waldron (Banning, Calif.) made her season debut and leaped well in the triple jump for fifth place with a 9.80m distance. She also debuted in the Long Jump.

- Diana Hassink (Tulsa, Okla.) threw a 10.55m distance in the Shot Put to get sixth. That also ranks 2nd in the SCAC this season. She also threw a PR in the Discus with a 21.54m.

- Grace Conti (Boxford, Mass.) PR'd in the Discus with a 17.04.

Dallas heads back to Abilene next weekend for the Hardin-Simmons Invitational on April 1.
