Women's Track and Field Results from Baker Relays
BALDWIN, Kan. – The University of Dallas women's track and field team competed in the Baker Relays on Saturday. The Lady Crusaders accumulated 23 points for 10th place as a team.
NOTABLE RESULTS
- Senior Katie Spellmeyer (Chesterfield, Mo.) set personal records (PRs) on the Hammer and Javelin Throws. Her hammer was 26.01 Meters and javelin was 21.49m.
- Also hitting a personal feat on the field events was sophomore Ashley Perez (San Diego, Calif.) with a 7.69m throw in the Shot Put.
- Two season debuts were made by senior Ruth Fritz (Boise, Idaho) and freshman Bridget Kennedy (San Antonio, Texas) in the 10,000m and 3000m Steeplechase, respectively. Fritz ran a 44:21.75 minute score and Kennedy displayed a time of 13:06.65 minutes.
- Kennedy claimed third place on the event to garner six points for UD.
- Junior Katie McIntyre (Sparta, N.J.) ran a season-best in the 400m with a time of 1:01.97. That total gave her three points for the team and sixth place individually.
- Dallas earned three points in the 4x100m Relay by racing a 58.26 mark. Running that included: sophomore Ellen Jennings (New Canaan, Conn.), sophomore Rose Forget (St. Louis, Mo.), Perez, and freshman Audrey Zohorsky (Ellicott City, Md.).
- In the 4x400m Relay, UD took a point with: Jennings, freshman Clare Basil (Arnold, Md.), McIntyre, and sophomore Natalie Martinez (Plainfield, Ill.) running a 4:32.68.
