Women's Track and Field results at East Texas Time Trials

TYLER, Texas - The University of Dallas women's track and field team competed in the East Texas Time Trials on Friday. Several personal records highlighted a nice debut to the campaign for the Crusaders.

On the two mile event, senior Clare Myers (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) set a record with a 12:24 result and notched second place in the race. Freshman Angela Moore (Austin, Texas) was just two seconds off, 12:58.41, the previous two mile record that was broken by Clare moments prior.

Moore debuted with a third place finish and was among a quartet of top-10 finishers in the same event. 

Right behind the competitors mentioned above were senior Colleen Slattery (Middle Ridge, Wis.) and junior Elizabeth Hinchley (Magnolia, Texas) nabbing 4^th and 6^th, respectively.

Four seniors collected a second-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay that included: Myers, Danielle Pajak (Pagosa Springs, Colo.), Slattery, and Michelle DeRoche (Lemont, Ill.). The unit posted a time of 14:20.45 to slot in that spot in the standings.

Also making a nice showing was sophomore Lizzie Depew (Grove City, Pa.) gaining 2^nd overall in the 100 meter hurdles. Her score tallied as 17.60 seconds.

Dallas returns to action on Feb. 28 at the Trinity Open in San Antonio, Texas.
