Women's Tennis Returns to UD for the First Time Since 2005

LAS COLINAS, Texas - The University of Dallas women's tennis team lost their non-conference match against LeTourneau University on Saturday at Las Colinas Country Club.

Claire Jandrain competed well in her singles match, going down 6-3, 6-3 in line one.

Gabrielle Nguyen was on the doorstep of giving the Crusaders their only win of the match and their first point of the season in a grueling three-set marathon.  After taking set one 7-6, winning the tiebreaker 7-4, she dropped set two 6-3 to send the match to a superbreaker.  She came up just short, losing the superbreaker 10-8 after a hard fought battle.

The Crusaders are now 0-2 on the season.  With the program being restarted this year, this match marked the first time the Crusaders have been able to play in front of their home crowd since 2005.
