Claire Reed Awarded SCAC Offensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Claire Reed, along with Abby Schneider of Trinity University, were selected as this week's Co-Offensive Players of the Week for the week of competition from Oct. 9 through Oct. 15.

Reed helped lead the Crusaders to a pair of crucial SCAC home wins over Centenary (2-0) and St. Thomas (2-0) over the weekend, scoring a goal in each match.  She scored a late insurance goal against Centenary on Friday, then opened the scoring with a screamer from the top of the box in the 29th minute against the Celts on Sunday.  It is the second time in Reed's career that she has scored in back-to-back contests.  The pair of wins puts Dallas in second place in the conference standings with a 3-1 record, the best start to conference play for the program since 2019.
