O'Donnell Leads Crusaders to 1-0 Win Over Schreiner

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team won a 1-0 defensive game led by Monica O'Donnell's (Lincoln, Neb.) first career goal in the 11th minute. Dallas won their first conference game on the campaign and gathered its first shutout in 2018.

Dallas outshot Schreiner 17-7 in the one-goal win. Olivia Severson (La Crosse, Wis.) played all 90 minutes in goal, making eight saves on eight attempts. Severson posted her fifth career shutout in goal.

Bekah Gonzalez (Reno, Nev.) led the team with two shots taken, placing one on goal. Elisa Duran (Pomona, Calif.) now holds the team-lead with three assists after her corner-kick led to the O'Donnell score. May Lien Le (Katy, Texas) also assisted on the Crusaders goal. Lien now has six points on the year for UD.

Marissa Wheeler led the Mountaineers with four shots on the night, putting one on goal. Jordin Toso and Allyssa Nease shared time in goal for SU, each playing a half. Nease will get credit with the loss.
