KICKOFF

The University of Dallas women's soccer team travels to Hobbs, New Mexico, for a non-conference match against University of the Southwest on Saturday. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. (MST).

The Crusaders (1-3-1) will look to bounce back from Tuesday's 4-1 setback on a rainy night at Centenary College. Two days prior the Crusaders were the team that netted a 4-1 victory over Howard Payne University for their first win of 2018.


UD NOTES

-The Crusaders have scored nine goals through four games. Their 2017 total was 17.

-Elisa Duran (Pomona, Calif.), Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.), and May Lien Le (Katy, Texas) have combined for seven of the goals with three, two, and two, respectively. The trio are the Crusaders with multiple goals notched.

-Dallas clings to an 18-16 edge in corners and 20-16 edge in saves when compared to the opposition.

-Both UD and its opponent have scored seven goals in the second half.

-Natalie Kutac (Bulverde, Texas) has made four starts – including the past three in a row. She has logged 250:33 minutes and made 12 saves to go with a 1.44 goals-allowed average.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS

-University of the Southwest is 2-2 this season after wins came the past two outings.

-One of those victories was a 3-1 result at NCAA Division III McMurry University.

-The match at Bob Moran Soccer Field Saturday will be the first at home this fall for USW.

-The Mustangs are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and Red River Athletic Conference.

-This is the first meeting between these programs historically.

Dallas is off for about a week with the next match being a conference tilt at Austin College on Friday, September 21. Start time is scheduled for around 8 p.m. after the men's match.
