KICKOFF
The University of Dallas women's soccer team will play its third game in five days with its first road Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) match against Centenary College. Poor weather in Shreveport has the match slated to be played at C.E. Byrd H.S. The kickoff time is down for around 8:45 p.m. after the men's game.
Dallas (1-2-1, 0-1 SCAC) is coming off its first victory of 2018. Elisa Duran (Pomona, Calif.) tallied a hat trick to go with an assist on Sunday's 4-1 triumph over Howard Payne University. The Crusaders fell in their lone conference match with a 3-2 result on Friday during a rainy night.
UD NOTES
-Duran is tied for second in the SCAC for goals (3) and points (8). She notched all her points over the last two games.
-Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.) is UD's other player with multiple goals posted through four games.
-Dallas has made 12 saves in the first half with 18 altogether. UD is even with its opponents in corner kicks with 14.
-Natalie Kutac (Bulverde, Texas) ranks third in the SCAC with a 1.20 goals-against average. Through four games (three starts) and 225 minutes, the freshman has logged 12 saves with a .800 save percentage.
ABOUT THE LADIES
-Centenary (4-0, 2-0 SCAC) holds an unblemished record after consecutive wins in extra time this past weekend.
-A 4-3 double overtime victory against Texas Lutheran University and, most recently, 3-2 overtime triumph yesterday on Schreiner University have the Ladies in 1st place early in league play.
-Kyra Montes paces the team and SCAC with six goals and 15 points. Pamela Fonseca has contributed a pair of goals and assists.
- Maggie Pitcher and Avery Sanderson have split time in the goalkeeper spot, with Pitcher logging 230:52 minutes and a 1.17 goals-against average (2nd SCAC).
HISTORY
-The Crusaders split the regular season in 2017 with the home team prevailing each time.
-UD is seeking its first road win against the Ladies since 2014.
-Dallas is 8-4 in the all-time series over Centenary.
