Women's Soccer Unveils 2018 Schedule

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team released its 2018 schedule. There are 18 matches on the docket, including eight at home. With the addition of Johnson & Wales University (CO), the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) will have eight schools vying for the top six spots to compete in the tournament held at Austin College.

Dallas will host the newest member of the league on September 7 for its conference and home opener. The next day will be a non-conference home match with Howard Payne University.

The campaign begins on September 1 and 2 on the West Coast in California with matches against University of La Verne and Whittier College, respectively. After home stand the next weekend, UD plays a midweek conference match at Centenary College on Sept. 11. The non-conference slate for the Crusaders ends on the 15th in New Mexico at NAIA opponent University of the Southwest.

Beyond that juncture will be 12 straight SCAC games starting with a single road tilt at Austin College on Sept. 21. A week later will be home dates with Schreiner University (28th) and Trinity University (30th).

The first of two three-game home stretches on the calendar during the season will conclude October 2 with Austin College.

A three-game stretch on the road will include visits to Johnson & Wales (5th), Schreiner (12th), and Trinity (14th).

The next long home stretch will be jammed into one busy week with a trio of matches over six days starting with Centenary on Oct. 16. The remaining four matchups of the regular season will be versus Texas Lutheran University and Southwestern University. UD meets the pair of teams respectively on the 19th and 20th.

A week later, the Crusaders are at Southwestern on Oct. 26 and Texas Lutheran on Oct. 28 to conclude the regular season.

The SCAC Tournament will be November 2-4 in Sherman, Texas. Dallas is seeking a return to the tournament since it last hosted during the 2015 season.

Second-year head coach Lexi Stinson will be looking to guide her team back, which scrimmages North Lake College and Wiley College in late August. The Crusaders' new home field is being upgraded over the summer and will be located towards the top of Crusader Dr. where the former lacrosse field was located.
