THE LEAD
The University of Dallas women's Soccer team is home for a pair of matches on Friday and Sunday, as the second half of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play begins. Dallas hosts No. 12 Trinity University on Friday at 2 p.m. On Sunday, Schreiner University visits with kickoff slated for 12 p.m.
The Crusaders (3-6-2, 2-3-1 SCAC) are coming off a 1-0 victory at Southwestern University last Sunday. Whitney Jackson (Pryor, Okla.) scored the game-winning goal. At the midway point of conference play, UD is tied with Centenary College in fourth.
UD NOTABLES
- Kate Vidimos (Bedford, Texas) and Jackson share the top spot offensively for Dallas with three goals and two assists for eight points.
- Mackenzie Vasile (San Antonio, Texas) and Aileen Machado (Dallas, Texas) each have added a pair of netters.
- Olivia Severson (La Crosse, Wis.) has been playing the majority of minutes with 650 accumulated. In seven starts she has 49 saves and a .875 save percentage. The win last week was her second shutout of that fashion this campaign and third overall.
- The Crusaders have scored seven of their 12 goals this season in the second half, while allowing opponents nine each frame of regulation.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Dallas fell 6-0 at the top-25 ranked Tigers place last month.
- A goal by Vasile put the Crusaders up 1-0 early in the second half at Schreiner, but Cailee Morgan shot the equalizer minutes later in what eventually finished as a tie.

- Trinity is 10-1 overall and 6-0 for first place in the SCAC standings. The Tigers improved to No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) National Poll.
- Since opening the fall with a 1-0 double overtime loss, the Tigers have gone unbeaten and are 5-0 in both home and away matches.
- On Wednesday, the team scored its fewest goals in a conference match thus far with four at home versus Schreiner. The defense has allowed just three goals all season, with one in league play.
- Highlighting the offense are Chelsea Cole and Halleanne Dure with 12 goals apiece.
- A quintet of players have amassed at least 20 points led by Cole with 29. Dure follows with 26, while Julia Camp, Colleen Markey, and Hannah Booher follow respectively with 23, 21, and 20.

- Ruth Blackburn and Morgan each have three goals. Blackburn has an extra assist to lead the squad with eight points.
- Alex Gill and Laura Atzeni also have multiple goals on the team with a pair each.
- Jordin Toso has made 45 saves in 869:45 minutes. Allyssa Nease has made only one start so far this year and that was in the matchup with the Crusaders in Kerrville.
