LONGVIEW, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team withstood 15 more shot attempts, that included eight on goal, from LeTourneau University in a 0-0 draw on Friday on the road. Dallas (1-2-1) attempted four shots in the contest, with three coming in the first half. The YellowJackets (3-0-1) remained unbeaten but were unable to find the back of the netting in 110 minutes. UD played in its second overtime match during this three-game road trip. The past three ties for the Crusaders dating back to last year have been away from the home confines.

The Crusaders only had one shot that challenged LETU's goalkeeper Carrye Funk all night. Elisa Duran (Pomona, Calif.) punched the team's lone shot on frame with seven and a half minutes into the game. That was the first shot for the guests. UD's other shots that half for were by Mackenzie Vasile (San Antonio, Texas) at the 10:37 minute mark and Kate Vidimos (Bedford, Texas) in the 26th minute.

Vasile garnered a multi-shot game with her second attempt being blocked at the 71:08 mark. The Crusaders were outdone 8-1 on corner kicks and called for 16 fouls compared to seven by LeTourneau.

Despite these differences, Olivia Severson (La Crosse, Wis.) clamped down for her second shutout in as many starts this campaign for Dallas. She made seven saves, which tied a personal-best twice in 2016 during her rookie year.

Possibly the biggest moment of the match occurred in the second overtime. In the 107th minute, the YellowJackets clobbered three shots in about a minute span. Two of those were on goal, as Madison Urbana was stopped by Severson and then Katerine Baker got denied on a team save. Kennedy Keer finished with a game-high six shots while Kelli Soonier added three. Keely Hayden placed both her attempts on goal.
